EQUINE REIKI SESSIONS Tadworth Surrey
Why offer Reiki healing to horses?
A blockage of energy in a horse can result in physical, psychological or behavioural problems.
These are some examples of what I have found Universal Energy Healing has helped our domesticated Horses with. -
Physical problems - speeds injury recovery, laminitis, sweet itch, head shaking, digestive problems, lameness, stiffness, eases muscle tension, lessen the side-effects of other medical treatments.
Behavioural problems - stable vices, spooking, anxiety, travel issues, rearing, bolting, bucking, nipping.
Emotional problems - bad experiences, mis-treatment, loss, anger, moodiness, dietary changes, competition stress, training issues.
Balances the whole body
Energy healing restores positive energy flow into the horse, correcting imbalance.
Horses are life force beings the same as us.
Our horses give us so much, give back some Pure Positive life force energy with a peaceful Healing session.
I always like to think of a healing session as a spiritual spa
What happens during a treatment?
There are various ways to treat your horse, tied up, free in the stable/field or sometimes over the stable door.
Each horse will decide which option is the most suitable for them. All methods are equally effective.
Most horses will show deep relaxation during their treatment, while they enjoy the healing Reiki energy. When they release any unwanted energy, they may lick and chew, yawn, sigh, stretch, release gas, urinate, increased bowel movements or even scratch.
Treatments usually last for around 1 hour although sessions will vary.
Initial treatments maybe shorter as the horse gets used to the healing energies working on them. The horse decides how much Reiki they have and how they like it.
Following a treatment, it is advisable to leave the horse to rest for a couple of hours to fully absorb the energies and allow the healing to continue. They may feel calm and relaxed or they could be energised, all horses will respond in the way that is right for them.
Your horse may drink more water than usual and pass more wind/faeces, this is normal as Reiki helps the body to re balance and release what is not needed.
How many treatments are needed?
Whilst a one-off treatment would be beneficial, to get the most from Reiki a course of 2-6 treatments would be recommended. However, every horse is treated as an individual and sometimes fewer treatments are required to resolve the issue.
Horses are closely connected to their owners and mirror physically what their owners are feeling mentally and emotionally. Horses and owners’ can both enjoy the healing benefits of Reiki. An energetic partner balance. Boost performance together

You must gain consent from your Vet before your horse receives Reiki. This is achieved by simply contacting your Veterinary Practice and asking for approval that your horse can receive Reiki.
Reiki is not intended to replace or act as an alternative to conventional treatments given by a Vet. The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 (amended 1996) prohibits anyone other than a Veterinary Surgeon to diagnose ailments and giving of advice on such diagnosis. The Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a Veterinary Surgeon then the owner must obtain this.
The healing of animals by contact healing, by the laying on of hands or distant healing is legal. To give emergency first aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1996.
